Professionals use Facebook every day; there are many different ways to utilize the website for your business needs. You can find clients, employees, or jobs on Facebook; you just have to know how to look.

Job searching on Facebook can be done relatively easily. Simply posting a status related to your job search will raise awareness among your friends and, possibly, inspire a sympathetic response from someone who is hiring or friend who knows someone who is.

You could say something like, "no luck in getting higher today. If anyone knows of an opening for a graphic designer in Trenton, shoot me a message." This lets all the people you're connected to on Facebook know what you are doing and that, if they have any information, you are asking for help.

Promoting your business on Facebook is equally simple. Post status messages regarding your business and services. But take care not to be too pushy. People don't get our Facebook to have things sold to them; they get on to be social. If you're coming off that as a spammer or an aggressive salesman, they will take you off their friend lists.

Fan pages are less invasive and people expect them to contain promotion, so you should consider setting one up for your business. It is possible to obtain a large following through a fan page; it can do wonders for raising awareness.

You can find employees on Facebook by posting status messages saying they you are hiring. Scanning other people's statuses for indications that they are looking for work is another way to do this.

By reading the statuses of your friends, you can potentially find business opportunities and clients. The most innocent and unassuming status could be the start of a beautiful partnership.

Think about this: you are a DJ and one of your friend's mentions on his page that he is about to throw a massive party. Sounds like a business opportunity to me, doesn't it?
